Education Program
Caring Partners Global (CPG) dedicates itself to having a positive impact on the lives of young, vulnerable Kenyans within a remote area of western Kenya. CPG works with the local communities and schools in the many villages surrounding the town of Bondo, to identify and increase educational opportunities for youthful Kenyans who are socially disadvantaged. Without financial support most of them would not be able to advance their education. From 2006 until 2024 CPG provided financial support for a few primary school students, but focused primarily on secondary school students with the goal of a secondary school graduation, followed by 3 or 4 years of further financial support at Kenyan colleges or universities. However, beginning in 2025, in order to decrease the commitment expected from CPG’s dedicated student sponsors from 7 to 8 years to 3 to 4 years, CPG has decided to slowly cease supporting young Kenyans entering form 1 at secondary boarding schools. As a result, in 2028 no secondary students will be sponsored. Beginning in 2025 all newly sponsored students will be enrolling in year 1 at a post-secondary school.
Areas of Focus
Successful intervention has been the result of three main areas of focus involving:
1. A flourishing student scholarship program
2. A lunch-time nutrition program for primary school children and
3. Provision of one school uniform each year for these primary school children
Benevolence Program
CPG has been able to support the cost of complicated medical procedures for sponsored students who required care beyond that which is provided locally. To date, 3 students have benefitted from this assistance through the generous support of donors. Because of this intervention, these young people have been able to continue or return to their studies. In the future CPG hopes to be able to continue and perhaps grow this benevolence program.
