Vision

Matangwe Hospital will be a center of excellence for local primary health care supporting the 17 communities within the Matangwe region.

Improve maternal-child health outcomes
Improving Maternal-child and newborn health outcomes require attention and focus. Mortality and morbidity rates for the region are higher than the National average. Our goal is to improve the health of women of childbearing age and children by reducing risks that contribute to the high mortality and morbidity.
Combat HIV/ Aids, Malaria and other preventable infectious diseases
The rates of these communicable diseases continue to be higher than the National average. Through utilization of a health promotion and disease prevention model of care we will continue to reduce the morbidity of these illnesses within the region
Provide health education, treatment and disease management
We will provide these services through on-site programs, clinics and outreach services throughout the 17 local communities
